Longridge Towers School, Berwick-upon-Tweed. Independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-18. Small enough to really care about each individual, large enough to ensure all are offered the best possible start in life.
Our boarders are accommodated within the main school building and they are looked after by non-teaching house parents. The centre of Boarding House life is a large family room, and the Boarding House is run as a family. There is a programme of weekend activities which includes outings and visits. The School is situated within equal distance of Newcastle and Edinburgh airports and the main East Coast railway line stops at Berwick where there is a frequent service to London. Travel arrangements for boarders are organised within the school.
Longridge takes pride in its broad curriculum offering 18 subjects up to A level, with the range of individual science, language and arts subjects timetabled from an early age.
Excellent academic, sporting and music facilities combined with small class sizes and tailored, supportive pastoral care ensure that every pupil achieves, if not exceeds their potential preparing them for future careers and responsibilities.
With a school day ending at 4.50pm time all pupils have time to participate in a diverse ‘enrichment programme’ of extra curricular activities from Engineering and Gardening to Chamber Choir.
